Patrol Officer Information
The Kerrville Police Department is looking for dedicated men and women interested in an
outstanding career in law enforcement.
Starting salary $38,081.44 at $18.31 per hour. Salary increases in accordance with Pay Step
Plan.
Certificate pay- Intermediate $600, Advanced $900, Masters $1500.
- Must be at least twenty one (21) years of age.
- Must be a High School graduate or possess a GED certificate.
- Basic TCLEOSE Certification Required.
- Twelve week Field Training Program.
- Additional training paid by the department.
- All uniforms and equipment provided.

Insurance paid by the city; City pays 70% of medical insurance for dependents; Additional
optional insurance benefits available; Texas Municipal Retirement System; College tuition
reimbursement.
Applicants must successfully complete a Background Investigation, Oral Interview, Physical
Fitness Test, Polygraph Examination, Psychological Examination, Medical Exam and Drug
Screen.
