Holiday Parade

Holiday Lighted Parade

The Holiday Lighted Parade has been a fixture in downtown Kerrville since 2000. Each year it is the official kickoff of the holiday season with the finale being the lighting of the courthouse. The parade features businesses, non-profits, youth groups, autos and marching units, all of which prepare floats and are then judged. Typically there are over 70 entries and each entry will be completely lit for night-time viewing.

The 2009 parade will be held on Saturday, November 21st and discussions are still underway regarding the logistics and grand marshal. Past notable grand marshals have been Steve Brown of KSAT 12, WOAI morning co-anchor Leslie Bohl Jones, Chief John Young, Texas Country Reporter Bob Phillips and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
